I’ve been seeing 2 inter-related trends lately in Westchester County – 1) Kitchens with hardwood flooring and 2) dark hardwood flooring. So, naturally, we are seeing lots of kitchens with dark hardwood flooring. Often, dark hardwood floors are paired with light cabinets, especially white and cream, for a nice contrast. I thought it would be helpful to capture a few pictures of these since I have so many customers asking me about them.

Also, it seems that white cabinets are the most popular right now. This makes sense as they are bright and look clean. And, they also contrast well with hardwood flooring, regardless of whether you do a dark or light stain.
