Introducing The Flooring Girl

The Flooring Girl - Debbie Gartner

I’m the Flooring Girl. My name is Debbie Gartner, and I love flooring. I love transforming my customers’ homes from drab to fab. Whether it’s putting new flooring in a whole home or refinishing an existing hardwood floor, designing a kitchen backsplash or just replacing carpet in a room, I’m your gal.

I owned my own flooring company for 9 years.  My blog has been very successful, and now I’m starting my own marketing company.

Yes, I am a woman in a male dominated industry, and that is one of the things that set me apart. I advised my customers on the right type of flooring for their needs and budget, I helped them pick out the right colors and I optimized the design layout. I explained the ins and outs of flooring, so my customers understood what’s best for them – I enabled them to make the best decisions.

I hope this blog comes in handy for you, no matter what part of the country you live in.

color consultation for paint and stain colorsIf you live in Westchester County NY, I offer color consultations to advise customers on paint colors and stain choices. My designer discount at the paint stores usually more than offsets the cost for the hour consultation. Read more here. Due to popular demand, I’m now offering phone consultations as well.

  1. Debbie, I love your new WP site and how you are sharing your information. Your are the flooring girl for sure in Westchester County and beyone. If customers are looking for the best in knowledge, installation and customer service- you are the one!

  2. Considering the volume of good information you provide, I expect you’ll have readers from coast to coast.

It only makes sense for a woman to be the top flooring person – just as women make better home stagers than men. We just care more about how things look than do (most) men.

We also care more about ease of care and maintenance, since we’re usually the ones doing the clean up!
