July 4th Fireworks Cruises 2023 – These are in NYC (Manhattan)
Many of these cruises depart from NYC and if you plan on doing a cruise, plan ahead as you need to purchase tickets and many places will get sold out. All listed cruises are on July 4th.
QUICK NOTE ON JULY 4TH CRUISES.
A boat cruise provides AMAZING views of the City as you can see the water and the NYC skyline illuminated. In particular, the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks is amazing. But, one of the extra cool things about the cruises is that you’ll see many fireworks all along the rivers and you’ll have an unobstructed view up and down the rivers. Plus, you won’t have to battle the insane city crowds.
For this reason, the cruises are not cheap. Many run $300+ per person. Those that are under $200 are no frills and have cash bars and buffets. (You may want to eat before to reduce some of your costs). It’s ideal to call ahead and confirm the details so you know what you’re paying for.
If you’re bringing kids along, make sure kids are allowed. And, generally shorter cruises are better (for obvious reasons).
Be sure to check out boarding and departing times. Once the cruise has sailed, it’s not coming back. Allow enough time for parking, too (and potential road closures).

Tickets sell out, so plan ahead.

thank you for this list <3
Jai – Oh you’re welcome. Thanks for taking time to comment. I really appreciate that.
A few of these say 2017..Dobbs Ferry….is that a miss-print….?
No…it isn’t. As I mentioned at the beginning, there are several towns that have not published their info, and Dobbs Ferry is one of them. That is the info for LAST YEAR’S DATE. At the beginning, I said that if it has 2017, the info has NOT BEEN CONFIRMED yet. If/when they do publish, I will update it. Or, if you find somewhere that has updated info, then let me know.
Please, include a possible list of Hudson River Cruises initiating in Westchester County, to view fireworks in NY Harbor, as well. Even though these cruises may be sponsored by private companies with fees, information on their contact location would be appreciated.
Madeline – I will look into that. Do you know where those are listed? Note: I may not get to this until next week (as I have a lot on my plate this week). Great idea, though.
This list was super informative! Thank you for compiling.
Oh good. I’m so glad to hear that.
Saved our day (and night)! Thank you.
Scooter – Oh good. I’m so glad this helped. I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July and are still enjoying the July 4th week that we have this year.
Thank you. Patch didn’t list Tarrytown and we really wanted to go there – it is a family tradition.
Beth – Oh good. Yes, it seemed that the other places didn’t have the full info.
hey there! thanks for this list. in port chester the high school where the fireworks are every year is actually under construction. idk if the village is still doing fireworks this year or not. i tried calling them but the girl who answered didn’t know either.
Robert – Thanks so much for the insight. Maybe that’s why I can’t find any info on this. I’m going to try to update this post again later today. Thanks again.
Hi there! Thank you so much for your detailed list – so helpful. By any chance , do you know a good point on the Westchester side of Hudson river where the fireworks at West Point can be watched? Much appreciated!
Thanks so much, Tatyana. West Point is 2 counties away (in Orange County) so I’m not familiar with the area.
Thank you for this list. I’m just curious why you didn’t include the fireworks from Yonkers pier?
Colleen – That’s odd.I thought I did. I know it was int there at one point. Maybe I accidentally deleted it during one of my updates.
